Job Purpose (Job Summary)

Invesco is seeking a marketing professional with a track record in helping develop and activate impactful marketing plans leveraging all marketing channels. Together with the Defined Benefit Channel Marketing Director, the Channel Marketer will serve as a business partner to the Defined Benefit Sales Team, executing highly integrated marketing plans aligned with the channel(s) they partner. The Defined Benefit Channel Marketing Team will also partner with Institutional Channel Program Marketers to integrate the institutional insights program and its sales tools into the channel marketing and sales process. To this end, the Defined Benefit Channel Marketing team will help create brand awareness, relevance, engagement and preference at and beyond the point-of sale in the North American Institutional marketplace by creating and executing integrated channel marketing plans that leverage thematic insights to provide context and relevance for Invesco’s investment solutions, and by doing so, position the firm as a trusted partner as it seeks to deliver against its value proposition of helping improve lives through investing.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Partner with the Defined Benefit Channel Marketing Director to develop and execute the Channel Marketing Plan to drive awareness, help create awareness and consideration, adoption and cross-sell.
  • Own the day-to-day management of the channel marketing plan, ensuring timely delivery of channel marketing communication programs
  • Ensure timely delivery and maintenance of channel marketing-specific content.
  • Partner with Institutional Program Marketing, Product Management, Product Marketing and Investment groups
  • Also, partner with other related internal and external subject matter experts to leverage and, where needed, develop channel-specific marketing insights content and sales enablement tools.
  • Partner with the sales organization to bolster distribution efforts by developing differentiated and innovative go-to-market strategies.
  • Work with Specialized Services Marketing Groups to package and deliver the programs leveraging best practices in data visualization, design and packaging etc.
  • Act as an advocate for the delivery of these programs across all relevant marketing mediums, media and channels, including digital (app development, web-based interactive tools, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain a best-in-class client-facing marketing content that supports existing business needs, new product and thematic insights and cross-sell of existing products and solutions.
  • Improve lead generation and client engagement by segmenting audiences and developing targeted marketing programs.
  • Help promote usage of materials and monitoring their effectiveness and use.
  • Support channel-specific proprietary and industry events and conference sponsorships as needed.
  • Support any other ad hoc marketing task and initiatives that may arise from time to time.
  • Adhere to legal regulations and industry practices regarding the marketing of investment management products and the distribution of literature.


Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • A minimum of 5 years Channel Marketing experience, preferably within or including institutional asset management.
  • Defined Benefit or broader Institutional channel marketing experience and a solid foundational grasp of investment products and their application and relevance in these markets.
  • Demonstrated record of executing marketing content and communication programs.
  • Experience working with and across multiple asset classes a plus.
  • Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives.

  • Willingness to travel to sales meetings and client meetings as needed.
  • A self-starter and effective problem solver that seeks excellence and continuous improvement in his/her work.
  • Ability to get creative and accurate work out of internal and external agencies and resources.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and industry rules, guidelines (GIPS, SEC, FINRA, PPA).

Formal Education(minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) degree required.

License/Registration/Certification(minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 a plus, but not required.
