The Marketing Coordinator will be an integral role at LAX, providing invaluable tactical and daily support to the Director, Marketing and across all parts of the business including marketing, advertising, customer service initiatives, operations, sales & promotions, tenant management & relation, events, and social media. Success in this role includes a self-starter mentality, detail-oriented, and strong interpersonal skills.  This is a one year contract position.

Reporting to the Director, Marketing – Airports West, key responsibilities of this role include:

Brand Marketing

  • Manage all aspects of assigned marketing projects including, but not limited to, concepting, copywriting, image selection and creation of creative briefs for marketing campaigns, advertisements, collateral/signage; scheduling, management and coordination of various logistics for events and marketing programs including venue contracts, talent, video and photography; maintaining, updating and coordinating key digital channels including website, social media Facebook page; creating presentation materials as directed by Company; assisting with digital pilot needs, the production of recap reports as defined and directed by Company; and any other ad hoc marketing services as directed by Company from time to time throughout the Term of this Agreement.
  • Brand, Identity, Advertising & Collateral – Organizes and submits creative briefs and collateral requests to graphic designer and arranges local printing as required. Sets up and distributes collateral. Includes directory/brochures, ads, signage, promotional materials (i.e. employee menus), etc.
  • Public Relations – Executes on-site opportunities (i.e. retailer integration into goodie bags, on-site media tours, etc.).
  • Photography/Videography – Supervises on-site photographer/videographer as needed. Communicates with client, retailers, security, etc. on approval, shot list, etc.
  • Market Research – Oversees implementation of on-site market research on an as needed basis.

Events, Promotions & Operations

  • Events & Promotions – Coordinates and implements both national and locally relevant events and promotions based on key marketing plan objectives. May include new store openings, airport days, on-site events and promotions, etc.
  • Sales – Maintains a thorough understanding of retailer sales performance/store productivity, developments in trade area, local economy, competition, client’s business goals, etc.

Digital & Social Media

  • Website – Maintains website and keeps up-to-date by submitting new retailers, map updates, locally relevant content, retailer sales/deals, and key airport information for integration into website.
  • Social Media – Provides locally relevant content, retailer sales/deals, and key airport information to corporate team for integration into social media program.
  • Pilots – Coordinates all on-site pilot needs.

Customer Service Initiatives

  • Customer Service – Manages on-site customer service program ensuring key stakeholders are engaged. Includes coordination and execution of meetings, training programs, retailer outreach, customer service taskforce, etc.
  • Employee Programs – Coordinates locally relevant employee programs (i.e. employee menus, sales driving incentive programs, job fairs, etc.)

Administrative Support

  • Legal – Coordinates local vendor agreements in partnership with marketing and legal team.
  • Market Research – Oversees implementation of on-site market research on an as needed basis.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of full-service professional Marketing experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Typical 40 hour work week schedule with the ability to work additional hours as assigned including weeknights and weekends
